Vegetable oils to hydrate our hair
In addition to the products that can be found in different establishments, there are some natural treatments such as vegetable oils. These provide the concentrated active principles of various plants , from which we will choose those to nourish and hydrate our hair. In this article we will try to answer some of them, making a choice of the best vegetable oils .
These oils are suitable for people who have dry or damaged hair, or to nourish it after the summer or every so often . People with oily hair should avoid them, but they can also use those who have hair tips dry and open, always avoiding the scalp.
Sesame oil

Hindus often use sesame oil to massage the body and hair, and in this second case they help prevent baldness and dandruff. It is quite fatty, so we will use it to massage all the hair and scalp only in cases of dry hair. This oil is highly antioxidant, rich in vitamins and minerals , and has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antifungal properties.
Flax oil

The Omega-3 fatty acid content of flax oil is suitable to care and moisturize our hair in depth, and therefore, in addition to consuming it, we can apply it topically. In addition, flax also contains vitamin E , mucilage, protein and iodine, among other components. It does not have a too fatty texture, so we can apply it on all types of hair that tend to break down and open up.
Almond oil

Almond oil is one of the best known and used, and one reason is that it is one of the most economical , and it does not have any less properties. It is ideal for especially dry and brittle hair, to give softness and to remove volume to electrified and voluminous hair.
Neem oil

This oil is not as well known as the previous ones and yet it has very powerful properties for the health of our hair . This tree of Hindu origin has been used traditionally in Ayurvedic medicine with great success, and more and more we can find it more in herbalists and natural products stores.
This oil contains plant sterols and essential fatty acids, such as Omega 3, Omega 6 and Omega 9 , as well as Azadirachtin, a limonoid that is especially beneficial as a bactericide. Neem will help us treat dryness, itching, dandruff, psoriasis , hair loss , lice , etc.
Coconut oil

The virgin coconut oil, with its delicious aroma and delicate texture, is the secret of many women in India to keep their hair healthy and beautiful. We can apply it on the hair and on the scalp before washing, massaging it well so that it penetrates deeply.
It will be very useful in cases of dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis or itching in general, since it has antibacterial properties. If we have very fatty hair we can follow the same procedure but using coconut milk.
How do we apply them?
We will apply on the dry hair the oil that we choose from the middle of the hair to the ends, or from the scalp if we have it very dry. We will wrap it with film and a towel and leave it at least half an hour. We can also leave it overnight. Then we will wash our hair as we usually do.
People with split ends can also apply a few drops after washing . And for those with very dry and dull hair we recommend putting two or three drops in the palm of your hand, rub them and distribute them well between both hands, and then comb and massage all the hair.
Another option for people who have a hair with tendency to the appearance of fat is to mix, in equal parts, the oil with natural Aloe Vera gel , so that the mask is not so greasy but allows us to moisturize and nourish the hair well . The oils can also be added to masks, shampoos, or natural dyes such as those based on henna.
